Week Re-Cap

Hops & Pie
Happy happy happy hump day! It has been a weird week for me...I keep waking up, like wide awake, at 4am (I get up at 6:15 M-F). The past few days I haven't embraced it but this morning I slept for another hour and then just laid in bed and caught up on some stuff around 5:30am. It was nice and I kind of don't need coffee because I am truly bright-eyed. Enough about my sleeping patterns! Yesterday I had my first volunteer meeting and I'm really hyped about it! I'm going to be helping with an event called Sampling for Hope that happens in June. Everyone on the committee is super nice and I have a feeling I'll get close with them by the time the event rolls around. This weekend I have Public Policy Day for AAUW, which I am hyped about! And of course I'll watch the Super Bowl for the commercials but other than that it should be fairly chill.
I apologize because this post is mainly food...but it's kind of all I do now...hahaha. How is your week? - xoxo darling, Hayden

Valentine's Looks

Ooooo some V-Day content? Who is she? Just kidding, I usually do a gift guide...and I might still but I felt like creating some outfits I think would be fun for a casual date night. Yes, I don't really believe in going over-the-top for a specific day in February. I'm much more for going out for tacos or grabbing a beer at a brewery. Just something calm and fun, celebrate with a fancy dinner randomly or for your anniversary, right? Anyway, here are some outfits I came up with, I like all of them and would wear them most days of the week - xoxo darling, Hayden.
Look One: I think this is such a cute mish-mash of the color pink. I'm not sure I could pull it off but the model on the J. Crew site worked it. And I'm really into the nice skirt paired with a cute sneaker right now...Pink SweaterPale Pink SkirtTretorn Sneakers
Look Two: Just a simple look but I really love the lace top paired with sneakers...Pink Lace TopButton JeansWhite Sneakers with Heart
Look Three: Maybe for a bit sexier night, I like the idea of an oversized blazer (with, maybe if you can handle it, no under shirt) paired with skinny jeans and a high heel...Red BlazerDark Skinny JeansWhite Heels

Look Four: Okay how awesome is that skirt? Since it's OTT pair it with a simple top and some white sneakers...Pink Tank TopSequin Pink SkirtWhite Polka Dot Sneakers
Look Five: Perfect for a night grabbing tacos and drinks if you live in a slightly colder climate (I see people wearing a version of this outfit all over Denver)...Pink Floral TopDark Flare JeansBlack Booties
Look Six: Okay, I adore this dress. It's so feminine and would be good for work and then a nicer dinner. It's very Gal Meets Glam...Pink Bow DressWhite Flats
Look Seven: I cannot pull of white jeans but I'm sure y'all can. I also don't think I'm one for a tie top but I love 'em anyway...Pink Tie TopWhite JeansPink Mules
Look Eight: A cute pattern, am I right? Seems like it was made for V-Day...Red Pattern DressNew Balance Sneakers
Look Nine: This is something I would wear any day of the week. We know I am a sucker for a striped shirt...Striped TopBlack JeansTan Heeled Mules

Quotes of the Week

Happy Monday! It's snowing like crazy outside so I'm snuggled up with my work laptop getting some things done. And yes...I did eat leftover chocolate cake for breakfast with my coffee because why not? I don't have a ton of plans this week but I am going to Public Policy Day on Saturday fro AAUW, which I'm pretty pumped about! What are you up to? - xoxo darling, Hayden

Denver Womxn's March

Last week I participated in the Denver Womxn's March and not only was it a great learning opportunity but it was so much fun. Everyone had creative signs and they had wonderful speakers. It has inspired me to do some more volunteering in Denver for women specific places. Check out all my photos below.
Also, if you are a womxn of any kind - race, religion, socioeconomic levels, etc. - you need to get angry. You need to be supportive. You need to be part of the sisterhood. We can only have equal rights if we band together. ERA is still possible but we have to make it happen! Please get involved in your local community, in your state and in a national capacity! Join the League of Women Voters, join AAUW do something! - xoxo darling, Hayden

Galentine's Gifts

So here's the deal, I don't like Valentine's Day. It just is not my favorite holiday, however, I do love the idea of Galentine's Day. I just wish it wasn't on my birthday (hahaha) but oh well, we all should celebrate our friends & how much those relationships mean to us. I've compiled a few things I think your besties would enjoy during the month of love (ew, I hate that I just typed that). But truly, show your friends how much you love 'em with a cute present this February - xoxo darling, Hayden.

If your friends is:

...fierce
...in need of some new winter clothes (this or this)
...a super feminist in need of a Womxn's March outfit
...someone who could accidentally start a fire with how many flames they have going at one time (thisthisthis or this)

Week Re-Cap

This past week has been a pretty good one! I ate out far too much but got to do it with friends and at all new restaurants so that part was great. I've also been doing yoga...I'm sure I'll make a post about it soon...and I'm now trying my third studio (trying to figure out which one I will commit to). Then I went to the Denver Womxn's March on Saturday and it was amazing. Nothing like getting together with a bunch of feminists and protesting for your rights. The rest of the weekend was very chill, watched some reality tv with the roommate and got some things done on Sunday afternoon. I don't have a ton of plans this week...I do have at least one dinner planned for Friday night but my schedule is pretty free and I'm excited.
I am currently planning a lil birthday get-together for my friends in mid-February and I have a few events next month I'm excited about. But in the meantime, how has your week been? - xoxo darling, Hayden
