As you can tell I am so excited for Europe. This begins my blog posting about the trip. As I plan mine I will give y'all some of my tips on traveling a really big trip. Here is the first:

I always start by getting out my 1,000 Places To See Before You Die, I don't go by everything in it, but I am a big fan of lists so it is perfect. I also try to find the perfect notebook for notes. This notebook has an illustration of San Fran on the cover with a quote about travel--"always have a suitcase heart." I start making a list of things everyone thinks I should see.

Strawberry Cupcakes

Articles I'm Reading

This week has been wonderful. Three days of school is the best kind of school. This weekend I am expecting to fly by, lunch with Caline tomorrow and rehearsal tomorrow afternoon. Plus I have the dreaded Spanish oral this coming Thursday :( However, Tuesday I am going to Tampa for a Yankees/FSU game & having dinner at the Columbia (my favorite!). 18?

So today I turn 18...woah. That feels weird. I have no idea how time has gone by so quickly. I would like to be doing my multiplication tables in elementary school with a recess, but alas, I am headed off to college in a few short months...and that is insane. I am so happy to have my family and friends to celebrate this momentous (is it really?---maybe because now I can vote:) occasion with me. Tricks for a Dinner Party

So I love party planning, and there are a few things I have learned over the years (thank goodness for the invention of Pinterest!). Here are two simple ways to make your dinner party a success (and look pretty too!).

1. Make info cards, especially if you are eating out. 

I always choose a new restaurant (or somewhere my friends haven't been) so they don't know the menu, I give them a small list of my faves from the restaurant.

I love making hash-tags. I feel like they really unite a group so I made one for my birthday (note that it rhymes!).

Also, let people know about photos, since I have this wonderful blog, I posted them earlier this week and told my friends when/where they could find them. 

 2. Make place-cards that mean something.

I always choose where my guests sit so there is no fighting or an awkward silence.

This year I did something different, I found a photo of me and the friend who was sitting there. Some are embarrassing, others are the prettiest photo of us together.

Then on my place-card I compiled all of the photos.

That Post About Paris

Some cities we hold close to our heart. One of mine is Paris. This week my nails are painted Sally Hansen's Blazing Blue. When I was younger (and wanted to rebel because my parents won't let me paint my nails black) I chose this color because it was so dark but blue. Now I love it because it is navy and nautical.

Who knew the shortest month in the year would be my most hectic thus far? 

Yesterday I submitted my HOA IA (however there is a test next week, so is the stress really off??), next Wednesday I have to submit my ITGS IA, I have a Rho Kappa meeting next Wednesday, a dinner Tuesday, my birthday Thursday, and in the next two weeks I have a gigantic Spanish oral, my TOK presentation, two baseball games and so much more. 

However, tonight is my birthday dinner, so I am going to relax and pretend I am not extremely stressed and frazzled. I hope y'all have a great Saturday, what are you up to?
