Happy Halloween

You know, I was never super into Halloween. But as the years have gone by I have a new appreciation for it. And I'm sad that the kiddos around the world won't get to go trick-or-treating or do their thing in the normal way this year. I usually curl up with some candy and watch movies so it isn't that different for me. But I will miss seeing the inventive costumes that come to my door. I hope, however you celebrate, you let yourself enjoy this holiday as it should be — fun. — xoxo darling, Hayden

The Perfect Rugby Shirt

My parents surprised me with this rugby back in March but of course...I had nowhere to wear it! Then it got hot but now it's cooling off again and I'm determined to wear it because I'm kind of in love. It's one of the most flattering shirts I've ever owned, it keeps you warm but isn't aggressively hot and I love the dark green/navy combo. We went to Maize in the City to grab some pumpkins (and take photos of Julia's dog) so I jumped on a pile of pumpkins to take some photos — don't worry we were socially distanced & as you can see from some of the photos I was wearing my mask most of the time. Are y'all into rugby shirts? If so I 10/10 recommend. If you're a medium the shirt is on sale on Poshmark. I'm wearing a KN-95, you can buy those here — xoxo darling, Hayden.

Week Re-Cap

Reminder to vote if you haven't already!
Happy Wednesday! What a cold week it has been. I finally went on a walk around my neighborhood yesterday after being inside for more than 48 hours due to the snow. This weekend I'm taking Monday off to go on a little trip with Julia, which feels much needed. It's also less than a month until I fly home for a bit and I'm pumped. Denver is starting to go back into lockdown and that plus the sun setting earlier has been a bit of a challenge mentally. But we're getting through it. How are y'all doing? — xoxo darling, Hayden
The leaves are basically all gone & I miss 'em already.
Tried a few bits from Enstrom Candies.
Finally got takeout from Yak & Yeti.
I feel like downtown Littleton looks like Stars Hollow in fall.
Had a New Age Cheesesteak on Saturday for lunch.
SNOW!
Decorated this bad boy for Vlogoween.

Ways to stay cheerful as the days get shorter & colder.

I feel like I NEED this sweater...even though it is so expensive.

Have you tried any of these afternoon teas in London?

Seriously considering buying these and these for bread...

Fall Moon Milk Recipe

I spotted this recipe (here & here) on Pinterest and thought...let's try it! But I wanted to change it up by making it more of a hot chocolate and going a little less crazy on the spices. Plus, I'm a sucker for whipped cream so I swapped out the marshmallows. One thing I want to make note of, patience is key with this one! You want that silky, creamy drink so let it heat and don't add everything at once. But if you do it properly, this drink is delightful!
Fall Moon Milk Recipe
You'll Need:
-1 cup 2% milk
-splash heavy whipping cream
-3 tablespoons hot chocolate mix
-1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
-1/4 teaspoon pumpkin spice
-1/4 teaspoon vanilla
-whipped cream
-mug
-whisk
-pot
Instructions:
1. Add milk, cream and hot chocolate mix to a pot over low heat.
2. Once the liquid is warm add cinnamon, pumpkin spice and vanilla.
3. Stir vigorously until incorporated.
4. Let the mixture heat for an additional five minutes.
5. Pour into a mug, add dollops of whipped cream & sprinkle it with pumpkin spice.

Cozy Reading List

In the past I've talked about books I've read but I thought I'd compile a list of cozy reads I'd like to read this fall. Do you have any recommendations? Are any of these on your list? — xoxo darling, Hayden

Week Re-Cap

Friday night treat at Slater's 50/50.
Ugh, it's finally hump day. If you noticed last week I took an unexpected week off. I just didn't feel like making blog posts...as wild as that is. I've been feeling off for the last week and a half I would say...going for my daily walks & working has kind of been all the energy I've had. Maybe it's the days getting shorter? I'm really trying to pick it back up and this week has been a bit better. It's finally cooling off, which I love so I'm trying to get out while I can. We're starting to shut down again here (no more than 5 people hanging out at once) so I'm trying to eat out (outside) as much as possible as well. How are y'all doing? — xoxo darling, Hayden
