Only two more months until I am out of school & three until I am done with high school! Plus my birthday is coming up :) In the meantime, here is what is on my desk:
American Eagle Sunglasses w/ Vineyard Vines Croakie
Carmel Creme
Kate Spade Wallet

Birthday Party Invites
I adore Tiny Prints. However, I do not adore their prices.
So what do I do? I check out their cards, get a feel for what I really like and then create myself something that is very me. Below is the invitation to my birthday party. I am so happy with the way they turned out!

11th Annual Celtic Festival
So as you all know, I performed my last Celtic Festival last weekend. It was bittersweet but I had a great time! Below are some shots my dad took:

On My Nails
This week my nails are painted in Essie's Avenue Maintain. They match my Lilly phone case perfectly...which I find a little disturbing. Oh well! What color are your nails at the moment?

Tea Take Two
For those avid readers of Haute Table (hahaha I know very few people actually read this, but that's okay!), you know last year for my birthday, my best friend, Caline, & I went to Wisteria Tea Room (here). Well, we went this past weekend and it was amazing. The tea is endless so it is an experience to try new things & the sandwich I had was delish!
Chocolate Peppermint Fusion Tea
Roastbeef and Havarti with Chicken & Wild Rice Soup
Orange Spice Tea
Saturday Inspiration
Hello all! It has been another crazy week in my life, and I cannot believe January is almost over! My February is already packed with events (so be expecting some photos!) and I am so looking forward to my birthday! Tomorrow is the annual Celtic Festival, this will be my 11th year performing, and my last. It is thrilling yet heartbreaking. On Sunday we're planning to take it easy, watch some Hitchcock and bake some cupcakes.
What are you doing this weekend?

On My Desk
Well, this edition is more like my table, but whatever!
I enjoyed a lovely breakfast this morning at First Watch accompanied by an equally lovely edition of Southern Living.
I am still shaking from my Texas acceptance, so forgive me if I keep this brief! Have a great day!

OBSESSED
This past week when I visited Goodwill, I happened upon this Oscar de la Renta sweater. It was tucked away in the mens section...it was originally $55 but I scored it for $12! It is so soft and I want to wear it with everything, skirts, pants, and over dresses. Have you had a recent Goodwill find?

What I'm Wearing: Winter Edition
ATTENTION: A cold snap has hit Florida...people are wearing Uggs...and it is scarring me. I do not understand why we all bring out the biggest sweatshirts and Uggs when it gets the slightest bit cold in Florida. I think the cutest outfits can be cold weather outfits! Boots, cords, and sweaters are my favorite, so here is what I'm wearing:
Cords: Lands End
Boots: Steve Madden
Pearls: H&M
Phone Case: Lilly Pulitzer
Nail Polish: Chubby Cheeks

My Newest Obsession
My friends have all be watching TV series on Netflix so I decided to start looking to see if I could find one...BAD IDEA! I am now obsessed with Bomb Girls.
It is a World War II drama set in Canada in a munitions factory. The plot is around the women who work in the factory and their drama as the war unfolds.
I AM IN LOVE WITH IT! I would totally recommend it to anyone who is looking for a new show!

What To Wear: Theater Edition
So I have this book, by Nina Garcia (who is one of my idols), and it is about what to wear to certain events in your life. I use it on a weekly basis because I am constantly going to events in my local community. The other week I attended a play at the historic Florida Rep. It was titled Arsenic and Old Lace & it was hysterical! Below is what I wore:
Jacket: Target
Dress: Urban Outfitters
Bracelets: H&M
Shoes: Anne Klein (DSW)

On My Nails
I have decided to start painting my nails a new color every week (mainly to decide what colors to bring to college) and this week is Essie's Chubby Cheeks. I am kind of in love with it! It reminds me of the Lilly Pulitzer sweaters (see below), and when I wore it with navy & pearls it looked incredibly classy!

I could not be happier! I will keep you updated as the process comes to a close in April.

Out Takes from LA
This is the last of my LA posts. It was such an amazing trip and I am so thankful we won the National Championship and that I had the opportunity to be there for it. I'll be back to normal posts tomorrow. Have a great day!
The awesome palm trees outside of a Chick-Fil-A.
I love the architecture on the LA Times building.

As part of my contribution to the LA agenda, I found the Hollywood Reservoir which is known for its role in movies and its amazing views of the Hollywood sign. Below are some shots from Fort MacArthur and the reservoir.

The Getty After Dark
There are two things in LA that make me extremely happy, one is the Griffith Observatory, and the other is the Getty Museum of Art.
I had been in rain and shine but this was my first time at night. And let me tell you, it was even more spectacular! I only got two good shots because it was dark.
Stumble Upon
While visiting Fort MacArthur we stumbled upon the most adorable park. It was complete with a light house, playground, bandshell, and amazing views.

Richard Milhous Nixon
The Nixon Library is something that is always on our agenda but we never get to it. However, this past trip to LA was the perfect time to do it, and I would never regret it. The museum was so well done and the place itself was beautiful.
Fort MacArthur
The first thing we did in LA was visit Fort MacArthur. It isn't something we usually talk about in an average history class because the pacific coast was never bombed. However, it holds important history as well as amazing real estate. It is one of the hidden gems sitting beautifully on the coast. I would highly suggest visiting if not for the views alone.

I feel like whenever I go to LA I must stop at USC. And this time I almost started crying. I want to go there so bad, and I have to wait till February! I just want to know!!! Here are some shots from the trip:

Segerstrom Center for the Arts
While in LA, I was able to attend an amazing concert featuring Florida State's Marching Chiefs and the man who was the phantom in Phantom of the Opera for 22 years. The acoustics were flawless and the architecture of the center was amazing.

Griffith Observatory After Dark
Griffith Observatory might be my favorite place in LA. You can see everything and the architecture is amazing. Art deco is the most amazing architecture to me. If I could have held my Great Gatsby prom anywhere it would have been Griffith. Below are some photos I snagged while visiting a few nights ago. They were having telescope night so it was a new, fun, experience.

In-N-Out Burger
You hear things over the years. And one of them is how amazing In-N-Out is. Some people compare it to a religious experience. It is one of those things I had always wanted to do, especially because A Bent Piece of Wire is always eating there! So this trip I ate there a total of two times! It was good, definitely better than the fast food we have in Florida!
Saturday Inspiration
Happy Saturday! I am recovering from my trip to Los Angeles (jet lag anyone?) and working on so much homework. But I am enjoying myself. Last night I saw Arsenic and Old Lace at the historic Florida Rep and I was accepted to the University of Oregon on Thursday (yay!).
I really want a cool camera strap.
Scallops are my new favorite trend.
Perfection.
That water!
The skirt is amazing.
Such inspiration.

Westwood, CA
Whenever we go to LA we must stop in Westwood to get some Diddy Riese. It's almost like it is ingrained in our genetics. We just love those ice cream sandwiches that much. Below are some shots from my evening.
Fox Movie Theater
800 Degrees Pizza
The best.
Candy cookies with vanilla ice cream
City Hall
I feel like my posts, recently, have had no insight into me as a person. They're just posts, so today I will begin, again, telling y'all more about my life.
I just came back from an amazing, whirlwind California vacation/football trip. It was amazing and nerve-wracking and every emotion in between.
The photos below were taken at City Hall in downtown LA. The observation deck is one of those hidden gems. In fact, when I was up there, some locals had brought a pizza and were sitting on the floor chatting and looking at the amazing views.
If you are going to LA I would highly suggest it. You can see everything- Hollywood sign included.

Boarding
Flying. What can I say, there is something thrilling yet awful about the experience. I love the going, and hate the coming back. The great thing about my flights to LA and back were that they were pretty evenly split (3.5 hours to MSP & 3 hours to LAX, vice versa). Here are some shots (including-what is on my desk at the moment).
We took a similar photo 14 (now 15) weeks ago when we journeyed to Pittsburg. It is amazing what has changed.

My Trick to Packing
I travel a lot. And I am weird. But I do this thing where I make a spreadsheet of my outfits for each day of the trip. That way I know exactly what I'm wearing and what goes with each outfit. It really works for me, so I thought I'd show you how I stay organized while packing.
1. Open Excel (or whatever your equivalent is):
2. Change the page layout to landscape:
3. Create a title/section titles:
1. Open Excel (or whatever your equivalent is):
4. Fill in dates/occasions:
5. Fill in all information:
6. Last step, put a border around the sheet so everything is defined:

My Emergency Kit
You know that little bag you carry in your purse? The one that has saved you on many occasions? Whether the sun was just a little too bright that morning, or your new shoes that gave you blisters you had that small case with something to remedy it. Mine is pretty minimalist but they are essentials I find I use all the time.
