The Food Diaries: Frank

Brunch. It is one of the world's greatest meals. So Emma & I headed downtown Austin to try Frank. The restaurant usually serves hot dogs & cold beer, but their brunch menu includes things like chicken & waffles, pulled pork breakfast tacos, french toast, and so much more!

This restaurant is a hipster's paradise. 

Complete with ball jars, old wooden table, and great fonts.

Emma had the pulled pork hash, which I will mention she finished off entirely.

I had the chicken and waffles. The waffle was a little weak {but I am spoiled by Fancy's back home}. The chicken was seasoned to perfection & my mouth was watering over the bacon. Personally, they do not give you enough maple syrup.

Overall, I would highly suggest heading to Frank for brunch {or lunch/dinner}. The people watching is on point & downtown on a Sunday is fun to walk off your waffles + fried chicken.

Week Re-Cap

It has been a pretty good week thus far! I finished Spring Break, and now it is Big/Little Appreciation Week for Comm Council. I seriously love my fam and I am so happy to participate in all of the events. Other than that my school load is pretty heavy but it should be fine. And, drum roll please! I close on my apartment on Friday! I am so excited to start this new chapter in my life and plan to post tons of photos of the decorating process. Check everything out below-xoxo darling, Hayden.

Going home is always hard. I have had an amazing time in Florida and I feel rejuvenated creatively. I am so excited to start reading "The Girl on the Train" tomorrow on my flight back to ATX and I am looking forward to working on District's April Issue {hint: think travel}. Week Re-Cap

AHHH it is only two days until spring break! 

I am so excited to be flying home on Friday, if you could not already tell. And while I am thrilled to be headed to FLA, I am excited to celebrity watch in the Austin airport b/c SXSW starts this weekend! So maybe a week from now, in the Week Re-Cap, there will be some celeb selfies...or maybe not because I am a nervous wreck when it comes to that stuff!

Other than that, my week was extremely stressful but there were some good moments. Make sure to follow my insta and twitter to stay up-to-date on my spring break in FLA.

My English teacher brought us cookies while we proof-read papers.

 Face-timed with this lovely lady {she was in Germany}.

Some of the fam went & saw "The Duff" on Friday night...it was pretty awful but the guy was hot.

Texas cookies beat all cookies.

 Made a new friend & volunteered with iPads.

They had all of the fountains on for Explore UT and it was the first time I had seen some of them!

Watched "She's The Man" and enjoyed some Chinese food on Sunday night.

Learned some French on Monday at our LB meeting.
