Coffee Chat: Vanity Fair Oscar Party

Coffee Chat No. 2 for this week! Here are my opinions of the Vanity Fair Oscar Party-xoxo darling, Hayden.

I love the simplicity of this look.

Not a fan of Mann's outfit.

Nope.

Gorgeous!

Didn't like their Oscar clothes and don't like this either.

She looks phenomenal.

Not a big fan of this, and I am usually a fan of whatever the Queen wears.

This is so not my style, but I totally like it!

Not a fan.

I love her dress!

Not a fan. At all.

I actually really like this! She is rocking it!

It amazes me how she can look amazing every time.

I don't know how I feel about this.

Not a fan.

She looks wonderful.

Why is she so perfect?

This reminds me of a beach tent...

I loved her Oscar dress but I hate this.

Nasim looks AMAZING.

Loving this pants/dress trend!

Why didn't she wear this to the Oscars, she looks gorgeous!

Her and Amy Adams look amazing in this color.

Not a fan of the stripes.

BEAUTIFUL!

Love this.

The dress is fine, but I love the photo!

I don't like the see-though mesh.

I actually really like the dress, hate the shoes.

Margot and her look the same, like beach tents.

Coffee Chat: The Oscars

Grab your coffee, we're reviewing some Oscar dresses {like every other fashion blog today}.

 Love, love, love.

At first I was not a fan of this dress, but it
grew on me so much as the night progressed.

I am not a huge fan of the dress itself but it looks beautiful on her.

I don't like this dress, but her makeup is on point.

 It's Chanel...enough said.

 I seriously love this.

 No.

Love the simplicity of this! And that statement necklace is wonderful.

She was doing so well, but I kind of hate this.

I really like the texture on the bottom half of the dress,
but not a fan of thetop of the peplum.

I would not have chosen it, but it fits her really well.

 I love this dress.

The color is gorgeous but I don't like the straps!

Not a fan of her dress.

 Simple and elegant.

Someone said this looks like a "beach wedding bridesmaid
dress" I kind of have to agree, but it looks pretty on her!

I feel like I don't like her hair and that is making me not like her dress.

I feel like this dress is going to be one everyone likes, but I don't like it.

This is classy and it looks good on her!

 I do not like this.

His tux looked amazing but her dress is strange.

 Kind of love it.

Not a fan of the color of this.

Hate the shoes love the dress.

Seriously hate the accessories, and I cannot
tell if I like the dress under it.

 This dress is so pretty!

 Please don't.

 Super cute!

 Stop being perfect.

 Very pretty!

 Really did not like this.

I feel like the dress would be so cute but
that belt just ruins it.

Have y'all noticed that her boobs always look like they are in pain?
Other than that she looks like a princess.

No. Nope. No.

 Gorgeous.

This dress is amazing but no gloves and change her hair!

Kiera + baby bump = no fashion sense.

It looks like this does not fit her.

 This lady is winning.

 Jennifer is also winning.

 Love this on Emma!

Oprah looks fab.

 It's okay because it's Meryl.

Nah.

This looks like a prom dress from the 80s.

Not a fan.

The Food Diaries: The Bubble Room

When I was home for winter break {yes I realize that was an extremely long time ago} I went out to Captiva Island {somewhere you must go if you visit southwest Florida}. The Bubble Room is a classic please to grab a bite at. I am not the biggest fan of their entree food, but the cake takes the cake {I actually found that funny, so that's my sense of humor}.

Let me start by saying this is a restaurant where they have a gift shop, or "emporium," in their parking lot.

The actual restaurant building looks like a house straight out of a tripy Alice in Wonderland book. Rainbow awnings, messed up roofs, random Santa's on the roof, etc.

They like to say their restaurant is in a constant state of Christmas with a touch of 1930s Hollywood Glamour. In my opinion The Bubble Room is not exactly glamorous, but if you have ever seen a movie from the 1930s, it's stars decorate the walls of the restaurant...next to Santa.

The walls, tables, literally every square inch, are covered with memorabilia.

There is even a toy train that circles the restaurant every few minutes.

When you enter the restaurant you will see a case of their cakes that are available for purchase.

My group got an appetizer of Bubble Bread which is pretty good, but very salty so make sure you have a glass of water near to wash it down.
I had the French Onion soup {average} as my meal because I was saving myself for cake, but I did not get a photo of it.

But I did get a photo of the cake. My favorite, Orange Crunch. It is even served on a foam tray because you will have to take it home, you cannot finish the slices. It was moist, delicious, and everything you could want in a slice of cake.

Overall, The Bubble Room is an experience, and if you are on Captiva you might want to try it. But personally I think it is a little over priced for what it is. I would suggest running in, seeing the restaurant, getting a slice of cake to go, and then finding a secluded spot on one of the amazing beaches on the island to eat it.
