Plane Essentials

Since I will be on a plane very soon (I am so excited to be off to LA!), I thought I'd share my essentials for the plane. 

• I cannot stress my love of magazines. Above are some of my absolute favorites. They get me through the stress of flying.
• A really great fleece will make every situation better.
• Eye masks for long flights are a must!
• I don't know what I would do without my iPhone full of music!
• Pretzels are my favorite carry on snack because they're easy and don't need any maintenance. 
• Super Bubble is my go to for ear pains.
• Headphones to go along with my iPhone, I usually have Skullcandy.
• Loafers are perfect for flying because you can slip them off at TSA but you still look stylish---effortless.

What to Wear: New Years Eve Edition

With New Years Eve quickly approaching, it is important to choose your outfit carefully. This is the one time of year where it is acceptable to go over the top in sparkles and colors like silver and gold. While my outfit won't look like this (mainly because I don't own any Cartier...) this is something I would enjoy wearing. My outfit choices will be posted in a few days.

Gingerbread House + Southern Living Pie

Christmas is all about gaining a few pounds correct? Well, that certainly happened in our house. We were up Christmas morning decorating gingerbread cookies and making a gingerbread house. My Mama made an amazing banana cream peanut butter pie {here}.

Christmas Tree O Christmas Tree

My family hasn't done a real christmas tree in years. Usually we are traveling or in Tally, so this year when we had the opportunity, I jumped on it! We waited to the last minute so the tree was one of three left at Publix and it is a little mangey, but it fits our family perfectly. We love it.

Peppermint Mocha Cupcakes

One of my all time favorite drinks at Starbucks (or anywhere for that matter) is peppermint mocha. I love peppermint any time of year and chocolate coffee is the best thing on this planet. To make these cupcakes all you need is a chocolate cake with a little instant expresso and a peppermint mocha frosting {just add coffee and peppermint extract to a chocolate frosting}. And frost with some holiday sprinkles!

Pretzel Rollo Delights

These treats might be the easiest, most delicious thing to make for any party you are going to this holiday season. 

Pretzel Rollo Delights Recipe

You'll Need:

-Snap Pretzels

-Rollos

-Cookie Sheet

-Aluminum Foil

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 250 degrees.

2. Put aluminum foil on cookie sheet.

3. Place pretzels on cookie sheet.

4. Unwrap all Rollos and place in the center of each pretzel.

5. Put in oven for about 5 minutes, or until they glisten.

6. Pull the cookie sheet out of the oven, quickly push another pretzel on top of the Rollos.

7. Put in the fridge to harden for about an hour. 

8. Pull your delights out about an hour before your event to make sure they aren't rock hard.
