Let's Talk: Mamie Eisenhower

When I visited Eisenhower's farm, I was amazed at the amount of pink. It was EVERYWHERE! Mamie had some serious pull, and she was adorable. I mean look at that monogramed belt buckle! She was absolutely adorable and some of her dresses I wish were in my closet.

50 States? How about 36.

So in a previous post I talked about my parents goal of capitol building visits. Well one of my goals is to visit every state (I'm thinking in the continental U.S.) by the time I turn 25. I have 12 left (without Alaska and Hawaii, which is 14). Every state is so unique and different that I want to experience all of them. Below is a map, the pink states are ones I have been to, if they have a green dot I have also visited the capitol building. What states have you been to? Do you have a favorite?

Point State Park

Of course Pittsburgh would not be such a big deal without Point Park. The three rivers converge at this point making it the best land for trade...well at least hundreds of years ago it did. Today it is a beautiful state park that I got to enjoy on Sunday.

Gettysburg
