Last Day of Sophomore Year

On the last day of sophomore year, Hannah & I headed out to The Oasis restaurant on Lake Travis in Austin. While the food was not the greatest thing I ever had, the views were amazing. We got a table right on the edge so we had the perfect view for sunset. After that we headed to SPUN in east Austin for liquid nitrogen ice cream...lemme tell you, that was delicious! Overall it was a really fun night and a great way to kickoff the summer-xoxo darling, Hayden.

Today is the day. Today is the day I depart FLA for the UK. To say I'm nervous is an understatement. To say I'm excited is an understatement. I know that this will be one of the best learning experiences of my life but that doesn't mean I am not sad to leave my family & all of my friends for two months. And it certainly doesn't mean that London will be all sunshine and rainbows (because it rains all the time y'all)! But everything will be okay. A Look Back

It is still hard to believe that sophomore year is over. It definitely had its ups and downs. The academics certainly got more difficult and my social life got a little more complicated. But I learned a lot, made a lot more friends, improved upon myself more, and realized some things in life are more important than others.  It was a year of hardships (hello not all As, living alone), excitement (moving into my apartment, becoming a TA, getting to study abroad), and love (so many amazing friends). There were lots of tears, both happy and sad, lots of laughs, and lots of mistakes (both good and bad). I really expanded my horizons this year, a lot in part to my 101 in 1001. I really experienced life more and wasn't afraid to get out of my comfort zone, and for that I am proud of myself. I also think I really learned to roll with the punches & how to handle what life has dealt you.  I think junior year will be better, it was in high school, so I am excited.

Happy Wednesday y'all! It is less than a week until I depart for my study abroad in London (for two whole months *insert nervous emoji*). This past week at home has been very relaxing and now I am getting everything together for the big trip across the pond. Hello Summer

I am so excited to be flying home (extremely) early this morning (as in 5:45am). H and I grabbed breakfast at 24 Diner beforehand as our last meal until we see each other (hopefully) in London in July! Speaking of London, I am so not mentally prepared for that. But I am sooo ready for summertime. Over the next two weeks I am going to calm down after a pretty good semester & probably go to the beach. I hope y'all's summers are going well-xoxo darling, Hayden.

Week Re-Cap

Well, sophomore year is complete {check back here later for a re-cap of my sophomore year}. But let's focus on this past week. I was thrilled to recieve my Texas from my little, I went to a sing-along {what a surprise}, I finally got to a flea market, ate a sno-cone, became president once again for my spirit org, cried a lot {#finals}, took some finals, and submitted a video project. I only included photos of this re-cap up until Wednesday night but I have a ton of photos for this coming Wednesday's re-cap so stay tuned!
