Studying

Hey y'all! Sorry that there isn't a Saturday Inspiration post today! Everything for the last week and this upcoming week was scheduled about mid-April so I could get through my final studying of my junior year. Please wish me luck on my finance exam, it's the hardest class I have ever taken. If you are during your finals period, I wish you the best of luck on everything! If not, I'll see y'all in a few days-xoxo darling, Hayden.

Crown & Ivy

ShopStyle doesn't have Belk but y'all...Crown & Ivy is amazing. It's a little like Lilly but way cheaper and they have sizes that fit everyone. The top you can find here, it's on sale for less than $40! I couldn't find the pants, but I'm obsessed with them. I think they are on sale at Belk stores but they've been taken off the website. They have really cute pants, including this pair & this pair. I took the photos at the Harry Ransom Center on the University of Texas campus. I've included some similar items below:

Week Re-Cap

It doesn't feel like it should already be Wednesday. It feels like Sunday was just yesterday, but alas we're already here. It was a good week! Very low stress in regards to schoolwork, which is always nice and lots of getting to hangout with friends/eat good foods. This Friday the best friend is coming up and we are going to see Kasey Musgraves & Willie Nelson in concert! We are both super pumped about it. Then Saturday I am off to Johnson City for a retreat and Sunday is very unplanned currently, we'll see where it takes me. What are y'all up to? -xoxo darling, Hayden

Some of the LBs and I had a shoot on the capitol lawn.

Finally tried the birthday cake flavor at Cold Cookie Company...it was delicious.

We volunteered at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, which is so beautiful in the spring.

Freedmen's has a happy hour Tuesday-Friday from 4pm-7pm;
this means the sandwiches are $5!!! And let me tell you, they are amazing.

The iced chai at Jo's downtown is delicious.

I took my grand-little to her first UT baseball game!

My crazy Thursday night at home with a bath.

 Celebrating a friend's 21st!

Week Re-Cap

It has been a really good week! I started it off with fried Oreos and ended it with ice cream with some girlfriends. In between I was pied in the face a total of 13 times {for charity!}, watched my organization play intramural sand volleyball, tried a new restaurant, did a lot of volunteering and had a few photoshoots. Like I said, it was a good week; check out a ton of footage of me being pied below & a lot of photos thrown in the middle - xoxo darling, Hayden.

Hey y'all!
We're doing something a little different today because, if I am being honest, I have not had anytime to write blog posts. I had a test yesterday and I was studying for that/I had a super busy weekend. BUT, I have turned everything in for the week so I am free to write posts again. For today though, I am linking all of the articles I have written recently, you might find them interesting, they revolve around food and travel most of the time. Hope y'all enjoy and are having a great Thursday -xoxo darling, Hayden.

Life Passing By...

Recently I have been feeling a lot of stress, and not my typical school stress, specifically around the idea of the past and the future. What are you talking about Hayden? I mean I kind of feeling like my life is very quickly passing me by. I haven't really felt in control recently, it's like I am a robot going through the motions of studying and hanging out with friends. It doesn't feel meaningful...which sounds much more horrible than it is. I am having a wonderful junior year and I love my life but I am a junior and that is hitting me hard. It seems like I was a freshman just last week, my sophomore year is a blur. I get really sad when I think about how I have a little over a month left of my junior year and then I'm a senior...I'm getting stress-y just thinking about that. When I think about being a senior I start to breathe faster and panic. I have loved every single second of college and leaving the Forty Acres seems awful. It feels like I haven't accomplished anything {even though I know I have}.
I think the prospect of having to start applying for jobs, being part of the senior countdown at my school and seeing so many of my friends graduate has me panicing. But I'm not really sure what to do about it.
The reason why I am writing this is to just let you know, if you're out there, that you aren't alone in feeling freaked out by graduation and your upcoming life. I've decided to work on my panic-y feelings and just try to absorb everything left of my junior year. If any of y'all have gone through this please let me know what you did to take everything in before it was over.
I am really excited to graduate and start my life, but goodness I really love college. It seems so bittersweet and something that I haven't experienced. I was so ready to be done with high school and move somewhere new. The worst part was leaving my parents/home but in college I am going to miss so much
Talk over, but thank you for reading! I hope you have a wonderful day & check back tomorrow for the articles I'm reading this week-xoxo darling, Hayden.

Week Re-Cap

Happy Wednesday lovely people! This week has been really nice because all of my assignments were due on Monday so I have been able to sleep a little more and just relax. The weather has been so nice, 50s in the morning, 70s with a breeze in the afternoon so it has been really pleasant to walk around. I am working on a story for Spoon U {that I will also be discussing on here} where I am attempting to get 10,000 steps a day for the entire month of April. So far it has been...okay. I didn't make it to 10,000 on Monday and I only started Saturday so I'm a little upset. But I'm trying even harder.
What are y'all up to? -xoxo darling, Hayden

My parents sent me home with the cutest door decoration...

It was my freshman roommate's birthday and
we went to The Russian House for dinner...

They gave us free shots of really good Russian vodka...

And I had the Georgian Chicken.

The restaurant has hats & costumes for you to dress up in.

Serena & I went to Rain on 4th Street on Thursday.

Me every day at Texas Monthly

 Loved Cold Cookie Company!

 Some dumplings from Julie's Noodles.

"Ferris Bueller you're my hero!"

Spring Brunch Dresses

If you are like me (and you love brunch) you like dressing up for brunch. Don't get me wrong 8/10 I am in leggings and a t-shirt but those occasional times when I do dress up I like to go big. So I am compiling a list of my favorite dresses for this spring's brunches by brand. Easter is also coming up and I think most of these would be perfect for that occasion. Let me know what y'all think - xoxo darling, Hayden.
