Week Re-Cap
I am officially back in FLA after a wonderful week in North Carolina. I am feeling refreshed and ready to begin 2017 (have y'all seen the BuzzFeed count down?). We did a lot of hiking and a lot of eating. We even won a trivia game at a Boone brewery! On the way back I read one of the funniest books I have read in a long time, Best. State. Ever. by Dave Barry. I would highly recomend if you are a Floridian or if you have ever been to Florida, or if you have ever said something unkind about Florida. It had my family and I in stiches the entire time.
This week I am doing some more relaxing, ready to begin anew in 2017 and traveling to the Orange Bowl. What are y'all up to? -xoxo darling, Hayden
I conquered Elk Knob for the third time!
It was the first time I hiked it when the sky was clear,
the views were beautiful.
The fam bam participated in trivia night at Lost Province Brewing Co.
The family knows their Christmas movies...
Everytime we visit NC we stop at the Cascades.
Of course we had to take a trip to Linville Falls.
In case you missed it, our family holiday card {via}.
The Varsity was the perfect way to end our trip, we always love visiting the Athens (GA) location to get an FO (frosted orange that is like a creamy, less sugar-y orange julius) {via}.

Steve Madden Boots, and a four year old Old Navy
scarf but I put alternatives above
that are just as good!}

Week Re-Cap
It's only four days until Christmas {how did this happen so quickly?}! This week started at the beach and has ended in the cold of North Carolina but I wouldn't have it any other way. We are in NC until the 26th so we have been doing some hiking, shopping, and lots of eating. I have been coming to this part of Western North Carolina since I was a baby {my mom literally climbed Grandfather Mountain when she was pregnant} so if you are ever looking for ideas on things to do, shoot me an email because I have tons of ideas! Check out the photos below-xoxo darling, Hayden.
A quick trip to the beach one afternoon.

I am not over the beauty of that water & those trees.
The community college in FM got an amazing basketball
arena so we went to their game.
Some necessary roadtrip candy.
It finally felt like fall in Kennesaw Mountain, GA.
Y'all. I have seen so many deer this week.
After reading this article, I made the fam stop for dinner at Greenwood's in Roswell, GA {mainly for the pie}. Update: It was pretty phenomenal.
Our cabin for the week!
A Monday morning hike at Moses Cone.
You can just barely see Blowing Rock in the distance.
It's below freezing during the night
so dew freezes on the plants.
Cook Out has the BEST milkshakes.
A view of the Linville Gorge.
