On My Desk

I'm in EUROPE!!! So I felt I should share with you one of the books I read in preparation for the trip. No I did not go to Paris. However all European women have an effortless style that I felt I had to keep up with {those photos will be posted when I get back!}. I also really love that notebook...-xoxo darling, Hayden.

{Details} Lessons From Madame Chic 20 Stylish Secrets I Learned While Living In Paris {is wonderful and I love it}, Uni-ball pink pen {because that color is unique and the pen writes beautifully}, Carolina Herrera notebook {because Target was wonderful that one time and I love the prints and the paper quality.}

GUEST BLOGGER: Tiffany Lashai Curtis

Tiffany Lashai Curtis is the creator of Commoner Couture and was wonderful enough to help me out this week with a guest post. Please click over to her blog to check out "where runway meets sidewalk."

“One Dress, Four Ways”
As the weather heats up, our effort for styling tends to cool off. Face it, no one really wants to get caught up in a tangle of accessories and hot fabrics once the temps start to creep into the 80s. Tank top and shorts anyone? But before you reach for those trusty cutoffs and a white tee, check out four ways to style the ever faithful, sundress. Pick any sundress that is in a neutral shade or simple silhouette, and apply the inspirational tips below.
Make a dress appropriate for a casual breakfast or coffee meeting, by pairing it with a bright cardigan and neutral accessories.
Add sophistication with pieces like this taupe bowler bag and an “office” piece like this coral blazer. Perfect for a casual summer internship or job.

If you’re lucky enough to attend an outdoor concert or music festival in the upcoming months, you’re going to want to stay cool and comfortable. Simple, but cute flat sandals and key accessories like a floppy hat and cat-eye sunglasses will keep you stylish and the sunburn at bay.
Warmer weather is the perfect excuse to go daring for night. If you’re dressing for a date or just a chic nighttime event, amp up the accessories with a cutout wedge and add a fun hair accessory. If you’re feeling a little nautical, add stripes or a little red, white, and blue.
