Events @ The Broadmoor

While staying at the Broadmoor I was able to participate in a few dinners and lunches and I must say they put on a very nice spread. I had a wonderful time and the food was excellent. Below are some shots-xoxo darling, Hayden.

There was a three-tiered snack plate in our room when we arrived.

I loved the terrace where we ate breakfast and lunch every morning.

The red+white checkered table clothes were a nice touch to a delicious lunch.

I'm a sucker for Hydrangeas. Put them in Ball jars and you have my heart.

First Week of College

So...the first week of living in Jester West on the gorgeous 40 acres has come to a close. I have been to class for three days, all of which were fun, and had some awesome times with my new friends {Devi, Barbara, Cambria, Emma, Lauren, Bentley, Jon, and Peter}. Below are all of the photos I took from the week {mainly selfies} and let me tell you, there are a lot! There have been so many different events and so many fun things to do that I have not even started to miss home yet. I hope all of this continues and I am so excited to continue to build the friendships I have made in the first week, plus continue to make new ones. Broadmoor Spa

I've only been to a spa twice {this was my second time} and I must say the Broadmoor Spa was pretty fantastic. I had a thirty minute back/neck focused massage and I never wanted it to end. Then I spent a few hours relaxing, reading and snacking in the spa facilities. Overall I really liked it, check out some shots below-xoxo darling, Hayden.

Week Re-Cap

So, I honestly think this past week has been a month long. This time last week I moved into my dorm room and I was still rushing a traditional sorority. Thursday I had a shock, I was only asked back to two sororities {out of 14} and it was my last full day with my parents. Friday consisted of a quick, tearful goodbye to my parents and me attending my last two sorority events. Saturday my amazing roommate, Devi, moved in and I dropped rush {there will be a post about that later}. Sunday, Monday and Tuesday all brought amazing events in which I was hardly ever alone, and I was never not smiling. Thus far, college has been amazing and I am so excited to start classes today and go to the four different events I have today. Tomorrow brings shopping and Friday brings a soccer game. The Golden Bee

One of my favorite experiences at the Broadmoor was stopping for drinks {twice} at The Golden Bee. They have these little bee stickers that they fling at you while you're sitting in the restaurant {I have two and I'm thinking about getting them embroidered on a black t-shirt}. The pub itself was an actual English pub that they disassembled, brought to Colorado, and reassembled it. It has a British pub feel inside and out and their Bee cheese with crackers is delish. -xoxo darling, Hayden

Shopping & Dinning @ The Broadmoor

The Broadmoor is an experience all in itself, meaning that you can survive there without ever leaving the property. There are over 10 watering holes and over 20 shops. I only went inside a few and dined at a few {I mainly ate with the group I was staying with}. I really loved the Accidental Tourist and could have bought everything in the store! I didn't get to eat at Play, but it has bowling alleys in the restaurant so you can play & eat.

The Broadmoor

When in Colorado in July I was able to stay at the old-schoool resort that is The Broadmoor. It was really nice, but seriously it was. The landscapes were beautiful, the buildings were architectural treasures and my experiences were one of a kind. 

That being said, it is old and there were some complications, the air conditioners are old {old buildings} and the interior design is over the top like most resorts. 

However, the pool and other amenities are amazing and I would go back in a heat beat. This week is Broadmoor Week on HT, I'll be making posts all about my experiences there, starting with today's post about the buildings themselves.
