Week Re-Cap

Happy Wednesday darlings! I don't know how this happened but I hardly took any photos of my week. I'm really not sure how this happened; but I apologize. As I write this I will admit I have a pretty big headache, so we are going to keep it short and sweet. I had a nice week; I'm a little stressed out about this award thing I'm doing for my organization but as of today it is over. Thank goodness. I have a test tomorrow so I'll be studying for it and then I'm pretty much home free for a while. I have a design project due next week but I'm excited about it so I shouldn't struggle too much.
Anyway, I hope your Wednesday is going well - xoxo darling, Hayden.

Celebrated National Margarita Day at Maudie's.

Milkshakes at Dirty Martin's.

A study date at Radio Coffee.

I'm so excited to say I have been selected as a Cactus Yearbook StandoUT recipient. Basically it just says I was really involved. We took the photos this past week and I really love this one.

Finally got to visit Pool Burger and I loved it.

The aesthetic is amazing and so well thought out.

I even took this little plastic cup with me at the end of the night because I loved it.

The burgers were nicely cooked, they gave my g-little about two
oranges for her side of orange slices, and her grilled cheese was delicious.

Dreaming of Spring

So many bloggers have been talking about their hopes for spring recently that I thought I would join the crowd. While I love fall and winter the most, spring is a close third. The floral prints are always fun and I truly think you can really bring your Lilly out and wear it as much as possible. Spring break is a little over 10 days away and I am so excited to take Serena home with me. Hopefully y'all have some fun trips planned this spring -- did you see Hannah and I are going to Denver? - xoxo darling, Hayden.

{Stripe Top, Dress, Blazer, Earrings, Top, Sunglasses, Shoes, Swim Suit, Purse}

Stripe Top - I have always wanted a top that drapes like this but I haven't found the right one. I'm loving the very millennial pink stripes on this one. It would be cute with dark jeans and flats or white jeans and sandals. If it's chilly throw a jean jacket over.
Dress - Does his dress not just scream spring? I like the sleeve + halter combo. I think this would be an adorable graduation dress {weird that I'm thinking about this...possibly for the last time ever?}. It would look cute with some wedges for a dress up brunch or with sandals for a walk along the beach.
Blazer - Oh my goodness I'm kind of in love with this extreme spring blazer. This is the perfect statement piece for your work wardrobe. Wear a white oxford, black pants and simple shoes but this baby and bam - spring.
Earrings - I do not have my ears pierced {whaaaat?} but I think these are such a cute spring accessory. They aren't the first thing you would grab but I think the colors would go extremely well with your spring wardrobe.
Top - Loving this blue and white top from J. Crew. It would look great over dark jeans or a pair of nantucket red shorts, don't you think? Pair it with some gold Jack Rogers and you are ready for a spring baseball game or a nice dinner out on your spring break.
Sunglasses - Everyone needs a new pair of sunnies for their trip to Cancun or Florida for spring break. I'm loving this millennial pink pair to add a pop of color to any outfit. Wearing all white {or all navy in my case?} throw these in your bag and you'll be ready to go.
Shoes - I've never had a pair of SeaVees but these look dang comfortable and I love them for a subtle pop of spring if you work in a business casual setting. You can pair them with a dark top, jeans and minimal accessories but you'll be in the spring mood on your feet.
Swim Suit - I love this one piece. I don't think I can pull it off but it is so dang cute. The colors are absolutely perfect and I can see someone rocking this on a beautiful white beach with a cute sun hat, sarong and Havaianas
Purse - This purse is for my more "grown-up" readers but I think this would be a great spring accessory because it adds that pop of color your business outfits need. Plus, who doesn't love a classic pocketbook. You can totally see the Queen using this - can't you?

My Anthem

Currently life is really good but really stressful. And for the first time, possibly in my whole life, that stress isn't related to school or friendships or anything else. It's solely due to the attempt to find a job. That's right, I'm graduating in approximately three months and four days. THREE MONTHS. I am absolutely terrified to not know what I'll be doing after I graduate or where I will be living. This is the first time ever I've had to deal with this amount of extreme uncertainty.
But while that is crazy scary I've been applying for jobs like a madwoman. Writing cover letter after cover letter {which if you know me is my least favorite thing, possibly in the world}, uploading my resume to various sites and hoping that something will come for me.
Throughout this whole process I've been listening to one song on constant repeat and it has given me the ability to keep trying no matter how sick I am of writing about myself. It's "Survivor" by 2WEI for the new Lara Croft movie. I have always loved the song from Destiny's Child but this edition makes me feel like such a fearless girl boss.
If you want to take a listen on Spotify, I've included my Study playlist because that is what I listen to whenever I'm working on my computer. But y'all, I've played "Survivor" about 800 times and I swear by its ability to do things for you. It is my anthem and I'm really happy with that.
What is your anthem at the moment? - xoxo darling, Hayden

This week has been a great one - have I been saying that every week? - my parents visited, my spirit group had brunch and the new Austin exhibit opened. I have a big project due tomorrow that I'm #stressed about but it will be okay! I'm going to kill it. Also, applying for jobs is hard and I'm #stressed about that too {if you have any job opportunities, let me know}. Other than that I am really excited about the weekend. One of my good friends and I have some things going on Friday, it's Ladybirds parent's weekend on Saturday so I have some fun things planned and more.

22nd Birthday

Last week I had a pretty good 22nd birthday. It started with my best friend driving up and we had a REAL blast. I love her so much and it is always so nice to haver her in Austin. And guess what?! We are planning a trip to Denver in late March. We are so excited - the flights are booked and the planning has begun. After that my friends and I went out to dinner at Gloria's in downtown Austin on my actual birthday. It was so nice to have them all in one place.
I want to thank all of y'all for your wishes and happy birthdays last week. Y'all are real gems - xoxo darling, Hayden.

Dinner at Mattie's with Hannah.

Serena is the most perfect bestie a girl could ask for.

Marcus probably knows THE MOST about me because of statistics.

 Love Debz.

My {one of many} little Bailey!

One of my all time favorite humans.

This girl, who turned 21 on Feb. 14th, is wonderful.

The lovely Alyssa.

Best Friend Tag Video

As y'all know, Hannah is my best friend. She's been on the blog A TON {check out her very own post here} and we decided to finally sit down and film the best friend tag. Find out about what she was wearing when we met, how we feel about carrot cake, how often we fight and some interesting info about her sister's 8th grade dance dress. If you have a best friend let me know all about them in the comments. Enjoy - xoxo darling, Hayden.

Sweater Vest

I've never worn a sweater vest before...at least that I can remember so this was a fun surprise on Christmas morning. Obviously the color is perfect and it first great. It's from J. Crew but I can't find it on the Internet. The tote bag is Old Navy but they've gotten rid of them as they were more of a summer transition into fall but I love the size and the leather handles. What do y'all think? -xoxo darling, Hayden

Week Re-Cap

It has been a wonderful week full of friends and fun. On Friday Serena and I hiked up Enchanted Rock and then Hannah came for the entire weekend. We saw Fifty Shades Freed, ate way too much food and just had such a fun time in general. I'll be posting photos from my actual birthday at a later date but I want to say thank you for all the birthday wishes because y'all are too sweet.
I hope you've had a wonderful week & happy Valentine's Day - xoxo darling, Hayden.

Morning Routine

As part of my new attempt to film videos for HT, I thought I would share my morning routine. This is my Tuesday & Thursday routine because on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays I work out in the morning {you can see more of that in this vlog}. On T & TH I have class starting at 12:30 so I spend the morning in kind of a "lazy" fashion. I make a big breakfast, read for at least 20 minutes, look at blogs, work on HT and whatever else I've been meaning to do. I hope you enjoy the video and if you do please subscribe to my YouTube channel - I'm trying to make a new video at least every two weeks {and I'm hoping to make them once a week soon}. Also, what is your morning routine like? - xoxo darling, Hayden.

Orange Lace

How cute is this shawl? I don't know if I've ever owned one before but my dad got this for me for Christmas mainly because of the color from Target. But I couldn't find it anywhere online so I've linked some similar ones below. Same goes for the boots, which I got at a TJ Maxx in Boone, NC in 7th grade {they're Steve Madden} and they are the best boots. I've had them re-soled because they are so comfy and I don't want to lose them. Everything has a similar if not exact link below. Have y'all joined the shawl club? I kind of think I love it...-xoxo darling, Hayden.

Week Re-Cap

Happy Wednesday! I've had a fairly nice week full of meals with friends and a little bit of stress. I had my first creative project due {tomorrow technically} and I was stressing about what my extremely creative professor would think of it. But I'm turning it in tomorrow and he gave me my edits so I'm feeling pretty good!
Other than that, we beat OU in basketball, got 10 new members to Texas Ladybirds and enjoyed some brisk walks with Serena. This weekend I'll be vlogging {a Week in My Life is coming your way soon} but I am headed to Enchanted Rock, the best friend is coming to visit for a pre-birthday weekend and I think it'll be real fun.
How has your week been? - xoxo darling, Hayden

Breakfast with my former roommate at Texas French Bread...we saw Adrian Grenier !!

A Friday morning hike on the Barton Creek Greenbelt.

Finally tried The Soup Peddler - it was delicious!

UHM YES. I did eat a vanilla milkshake with a donut on top for breakfast.

My friend's much more healthy breakfast plate.

We got to welcome the newest members to Texas Ladybirds on Sunday!

My former FIGlet, Callie, was accepted!

Rust Dress

This outfit seems so Fall but the weather has just been so strange in Austin lately. I got this dress for Christmas and it is so soft {plus, there are pockets!}. The dress actually came from Amazon, and I'm pretty sure it's this one. The booties are a year old from Target and this scarf I got in elementary school from Old Navy. I've found very similar products below for you to check out. Do y'all have any super comfy dresses you love? -xoxo darling, Hayden

Red Wall

A few weeks ago my friends and I went out to Rainey Street {see the vlog here} and it was cold/mist-y. I realized I had no idea how to dress to go out in the cold - let's be honest I never know how to dress to go out. I just put on some black item and hope for the best. This outfit came out of that night and I really like it. Toward the bottom of the post I've deconstructed it {without the vest and without the scarf} which makes it easy to transition from day to night. Also, the vest is Cremieux from Dillards a few years back, the booties are from Target a year ago, the scarf I got in a tiny boutique in Paris six years a go and the black sweater is a vintage Versace piece I picked up in my local Goodwill Boutique. I've linked either the real thing or something really similar below. What do y'all think of the outfit? - xoxo darling, Hayden

Galentine's Day Gift Ideas

You love your girlfriends so why not celebrate them on Galentine's Day {aka my birthday, Feb. 13th}. I love all of these items and I think your besties would too! Check them out and let me know if I am missing something! - xoxo darling, Hayden.

{Women's Libation, Eye Mask, Passport Holder, Lip Masks, Boss Babes, Chocolates, Key Chain, Studmuffin Cookies, Hey Pretty Lady Mug, Champagne Bears, Killin' It Mug, Duffle Bag, Fries Pin}
Women's Libation - Of course your squad are feminists so they need Women's Libation book about cocktails that celebrate women.  I personally think you should get this for yourself for your Galentine's party and make everyone a Sloe Gin-der Equality.
Eye Mask - Doesn't everyone want to be their inner Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's when they sleep? If your bestie is one of those then get her this luxurious silk sleep mask. She'll wake up feeling more refreshed and pampered them ever before.
Passport Holder - If you have a jet-setter best friend they need this passport holder because it is absolutely adorable. I love the scalloped edges with the navy blue and gold theme. They'll think your friendship is special if you buy them this.
Lip Masks - Your best pals need to treat themselves to treat them to these luxurious lip masks from Anthropologie. I've never even heard of a lip mask but now I want to try one so bad. I suffer from dry lips and do absolutely nothing to help them so maybe this would help me?
Boss Babes - Coloring is supposed to soothe you, right? Well why not have it empower you! This Boss Babes coloring book has your favorite famous ladies including the notorious RBG, Beyonce and Malala.
ChocolatesChampagne Bears - These chocolates {made in Austin I do believe} are the cutest present for one of your girlfriends. And I have never had something from Sugarfina but I do love a good champagne so these could be quite delicious.
Key Chain - I didn't get a chance to visit the bar in London where the "Press for Champagne" button exists but I love the concept of it as a key chain. Plus, this would be a great easy gift for a work girlfriend or something of that nature.
Studmuffin Cookies - These look absolutely delicious. They would be such a fun little snack and the tin is just too cute - you wouldn't have to wrap it up.
Hey Pretty Lady MugKillin' It Mug - I'm a huge believer in mugs and both of these are perfect for your besties that love to get cozy on Sunday mornings.
Duffle Bag - Since I am a huge believer in weekend trips {they cleanse the soul} I would love to get this for Galentine's Day and I'm sure your friends would too. If you have a long-distance BFF maybe this will be your subtle hint for them to visit you.
Fries Pin - How cute is this for your bestie's backpack or messenger bag? I'm a huge believer in the fries before guys principle because...fries = the best.
