Macarons

Macarons are the perfect treat. They are light, crunchy, delicate, and delicious. For Rosame's birthday I never know what to buy her, so instead I baked her tiffany blue macarons with ganache in the middle. Below are the steps and after that is the recipe.

Draw circles--we used a milk cap.

Circles draw on parchment paper.

Use egg whites--better at room temp.

Mix egg whites + sugar.

Keep Mixing...

Until stiff peaks form.

Add your dye

Sift almond meal, icing sugar, and salt twice.

Add dry mix to egg white
mixture, fold in (about 50 folds).

Pipe macarons onto cookie sheets.

Add boiling cream to chocolate chips.

What You Need:
-4 egg whites
-1/3 cup sugar
-1 1/2 cups icing sugar
-1 cup almond meal
-pinch of salt
-gel food coloring

1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
2. Beat egg whites and sugar until stiff, then whip for
1-2 more minutes, add gel food coloring, mix for 20 more seconds.
3. Sift almond meal, icing sugar, and salt.
4.Fold dry mix into egg whites, should be smooth, not runny.
5. Pipe onto trays lined with parchment paper, rap on table firmly.
6. Bake for 20 minutes.
