Resolutions in Review

You know what? I don't want to do this. Personally, I don't think I did a good job with these. Or maybe I should say I don't think I did as good of a job as I could. The last half of 2021 I got fairly sad...maybe mildly depressed because we're still in this whole corona mess and I'm sick of it. Like so sick of it — just like I'm sure you are. I'm so tired of everything and I think that is reflected here. So, I'm reviewing these but know that I think I could have done better (but also know that I'm genuinely excited for my new resolutions/2022).

Adventure Outside.

Yes and no. I definitely did in the first six–eight months but I kind of hit a wall with walking and stopped doing it constantly, and that's something I want to work on moving forward. BUT, I did explore more things in the summer than I ever have. I've pretty much seen all of Colorado now and I'm really proud of myself for pushing myself out of my comfort zone — like driving to the Pawnee Buttes for an early morning hike and seeing the Last Chance Module Array.

Stay Social.

Yeah...no.
But while I was terrible at Haute Table's instagram, I killed it on TikTok this year. So, I'm taking this as a win.

Raise It.

I think I've started in very small ways to get more political but I have felt really burnt out in general with having to go to Zoom meetings instead of meeting about stuff like this in person. Do I want covid? No, so I get it but I just don't feel as connected to the messages as I did when we met in person. However, I will say I've diversified my reading quite a bit and by making the feminist cocktails I truly learn so much on a daily basis. But I think the point of getting more political/speaking out is that it is a constant learning experience. Oh, I also joined the DEI committee at my office for 2022 and I'm excited to learn through that as well.
