Things To Do While Social Distancing

Okay, everyone is social distancing right now but good lord it's going to get boring if you don't have a running list of things to do (when you aren't working, obviously). I've compiled a list of things you can do/I'm planning to do. This is a jumping off point, and please, comment below some things you're doing so I can fill my time too — xoxo darling, Hayden

Read some books.

(currently on my shelf: Aunt Dimity & the Summer King, The Deadly Dance, Gone Gull, French Chic Living, Shadows on the Lake)

Clean out your closet.

My tip: go into your closet and turn every hanger around so it's facing backwards. When you wear that item of clothing, flip the hanger around. It will show you in ~six months what you wear and what you need to donate.

Make a list of restaurants to try around town once COVID-19 is over.

Denver spots on my list to try: Lumber Baron Inn, Daughter Thai Kitchen, Same Cafe.

Learn some TikTok dances.

Renegade anyone?

Reorganize your bathroom.

Watch a classic film.

Netflix: Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Goodfellas, Driving Miss Daisy,
Prime: To Catch a Thief, Charade, His Girl Friday, Murder on the Orient Express, Some Like it Hot

Clean out your emails.

Go through your inbox, trash, spam, etc. for every single email account you have (I have 5).

Write some snail mail to friends.

Love this card...or this one.

Organize your important documents.

Give them all their own folder home. Or do your taxes — why haven't you done them yet?!

Learn how to bake something new.

Might I suggest: American Tiffin, Strawberry Shortcakes, Cranberry Walnut Muffins, Chocolate Chip Cookies

Cross off some of your 101 in 1001.

I'm working on my 61 in 1001.

Start writing a book.

Why not?

Watch a documentary.

Netflix: Miss Americana, Oklahoma City, Fyre, Gaga: Five Foot Two, Building Chernobyl's Megatomb, Knock Down the House, Homecoming, Beary Tales, Expedition China
Prime: Generation Wealth, The Red Pill, The True Cost, Iraq's Secret Sex Trade, Bottled Up

Clean out your photos.

I'm so guilty of just photo dumping into Photos, I need to get rid of all the random screenshots!

Order delivery & tip well.

Super important!!

Watch a foreign film.

My favorites on Netflix: Görümce, Romantik Komedi, Romantik Komedi 2, Isi & Ossi, Roma, Chennai Express

Research doctors/financial planners/therapists.

We're going to come out on the other side of this thing, so why not prep for your life while you wait?

Do some facemasks.

Love these: Aztec Secret Mask & Bliss Mask-A'Peel

Fully develop your skincare routine.

Work for a political campaign.

You can make calls to people while you distance!

Order business cards.

Shameless plug — Read some of my favorite blog posts.

Fort Myers Travel Guide, Paris Travel Guide, Colorful Photo Wall (a project you can do while distancing!), London Travel Guide, One Second Every Day of Senior Year, Ultimate Austin Restaurant Guide, Denver Dining Guide, Red Pendleton, Croatia Travel Vlog

Learn how to make a new cocktail.

Frozen Prickly Pear Margarita, Frozen Aperol Spritz, Christmas Punch

Donate to a food-bank or other charity.

Binge watch something new.

Netflix: Parks and Recreation, Schitt's Creek, Love is Blind, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Cheer, The Crown, Virgin River, Unbelievable, The Great British Baking Show, Gilmore Girls, Mindhunter, Queer Eye
Amazon: The Pale Horse, Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries, Hunters, Grantchester, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Fleabag, The Man in the High Castle, Goliath, Fortitude, The Romanoffs, Tin Star

Clean your room/bathroom.

Have a Harry Potter watch-a-thon.

I did this during a summer internship when I had no friends & nothing to do and it was so much fun!

Paint your nails.

My favorite color.

Workout with Friends.

My two besties and I group Facetime and workout to Beyonce's Homecoming, because why not?

Color.

I just bought these colored pencils, this coloring book & this coloring book to be a little creative.
