The Pigott fam bam loved Croatia.
Well what a break I just had. Croatia was absolute magic, seriously, we loved it. There will be plenty of blog posts about what we did, where we ate, etc coming soon so these photos are just a few snapshots I've collected.
Now onto the disastrous way I got home and why I'll never fly Croatia Airlines again. Sunday I had a 7:50am from Split to Munich that had mechanical issues so they deplaned us, we went back to the terminal and then they wouldn’t tell us anything. Some people were getting rebooked for later connecting flights, but not me, then we passed the time of my connection in Munich, then at 1pm they canceled my flight to Munich. I immediately called United and rebooked the trip for the next day (Monday) but went up to Croatia Air and demanded they fly me to Munich Monday night because the Split airport only has 4 gates and I couldn’t stay in Croatia anymore with out going insane, so they did and I ended up spending a little over 12 hours in an airport with no hot food. But then I flew to Munich and got to spend the night in Germany — a new country for me. I went downtown, saw some of the beautiful buildings, drank a giant beer and yeah...I guess it kind of worked out.
This week I have some plans but mainly I'm just trying to take it easy and get over my jet lag - xoxo darling, Hayden.
