Favorite Denver Tradition: Littleton Crabapple Route

Each April the crabapple trees begin to bloom in Littleton, Colorado and it is one of my favorite traditions to take the seven-mile walk to see them. It kind of reminds me of the cherry blossom trees in D.C. They were planted more than 40 years ago as part of a city beautification project and now more than 7,000 of the bright-pink flowering trees exist in people's yards. You can drive or walk following the signs (I've included a map of the route below). It's so pretty and a great way to get outside. They stop blooming pretty quickly, so you need to get your visit as soon as you see the blossoms. I highly recommend adding this to your Denver bucket list.
