Easter Rice Krispies

Easter is this weekend! And I will admit to y'all that I don't really celebrate it, unless you count eating far too many Reese's Eggs celebrating. However, I was thinking about one of my favorite treats, the rice krispy (remember when Hannah made me a cake made out of 'em?). The way I did it was really easy to follow along. I'm really happy with how they turned out. I was surprised that the colors were so vibrant and how sweet they were. You definitely don't need to add any sugar or flavorings because they have their own unique taste.
You need as many Peeps as you want, a hunk of butter for each color, microwavable bowls, a box of toasted rice cereal, and a lot of cooking spray...I mean a lot. I coated my bowls, pan, spatulas and hands in cooking spray to deal with the sticky nature of Peeps.

I mircowaved the peeps for almost two minutes to let them melt.

Then mixed it up and added the cereal.

You do that with each color and then, I decided I wanted a weird collection of the
colors so I put them randomly on my pan.

Let them cool completely and then you can cut them into squares, or use cookie cutters for
shapes. I picked up a bunny, tulip and egg at the local grocery store.
