My Favorites

I was reading an article in Garden & Gun and I loved the piece. It was all about a woman's daughter going off to college and what is was like from the mother's perspective. I found it fascinating.  It was written by Julia Reed. Which interestingly enough is my fashion professor's name. I looked her up and found this awesome bio about her. I liked it so much, I thought I would do something similar on here, check it out below and let me know what you think-xoxo darling, Hayden. I am adding them to my about page which you can find here.

Week Re-Cap

We started out last week with me still sick...and I am still sick but I did get me some Voodoo Doughnuts, sat in the rain on Thursday, hosted my parents, went to a mixer, got poured on at my football game {but we won, so Hook 'Em}, dressed up like Minne Mouse, volunteered at Inside Books, crafted, went to classes, and had some meetings. Today I am STUDYING for my government test {aka crying}. But other than that it should be a pretty good week! I have some parties to attend {including a murder mystery party!} and some "me" time coming up. What are y'all up to? -xoxo darling, Hayden

It was my spirit group's Founder's Day so of course we took some photos!

Hannah & I finally got to Voodoo!

A few of us are working with Up to Us which tries to get Millenials up-to-date with the national debt. We had our "My Two Cents Day" and it was SO rainy.

Went to the LBJ Presidential Library...again...this time with the fam!

Finally got to try Royers Pie Haven with my parents! Texas Trash Pie was FAB {via}!

Took my parents to the original Stubb's downtown.

We had a mixer with a male spirit group on Friday.

My football team WON!!! In a hurricane!!!

 Volunteered at Longhorn Halloween

Week Re-Cap

Y'all. It was a great week. I mean really it was. I had a test Wednesday night {*rolls eyes*} but after that it was downhill {in a good way}. Thursday night some of my LBs and I had a girls night {and ended up hanging out with one boy} then Friday we went to Alamo Drafthouse's Taylor Swift Sing-Along...it was SO MUCH FUN! I even wore red lipstick...for the first time ever, let me know what you think of it in the comments. Saturday I slept in, watched Texas lose...agian and then Hannah & I went to "The Leftovers" premiere {check back for photos tomorrow}! Sunday Devi & I went shopping for big/little week and I baked a cake for our friend Alana.

We had an amazing girls night out on Thursday, complete with Moojo & a party!

HBO "The Leftovers"

Hannah & I had the opportunity to be in the "fan-zone" at the premiere of "The Leftovers" this past weekend. We had an amazing time & saw some pretty famous people {including Jennifer Aniston}!
STORY TIME: So Hannah & I were sitting in the balcony & decided to look over, we see Jennifer Aniston & Justin Theroux. Theroux is eating his popcorn and he stops, looks up at us, makes eye contact with me, Hannah waves at him, and he waves back!!! Meanwhile Jennifer is talking to Liv Tyler the entire time, check out the photos below-xoxo darling, Hayden.

Your {New} Netflix List

So you have watched all of your favorite old movies and Gossip Girl what now? School is getting boring again & you need a new series, or maybe just a new movie, to fill your schedule. Below I have compiled a list of some of my favorite, off the beaten path, movies/tv shows on Netflix. Let me know what you choose next-xoxo darling, Hayden.

  1. Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries // I binged this in a week. They are set in 1920s Australia with a strong female character {and season three was added recently so get on this}!
  2. The Bletchley Circle // Super good if you love a strong female cast, Britain, history, and mysteries.
  3. Fleming: The Man Who Would Be Bond // LOVED this. But I am obsessed with James Bond so that makes sense. This is a short mini-series and great to binge.
  4. Mademoiselle C // If you love fashion like I do, and you think Carine is a goddess I would highly suggesting this.
  5. Charade // Audrey + Grant + Paris + Clothing = Heaven. Make sure to watch the first part of the movie set in a chalet {the clothing is amazing}.
  6. Bomb Girls // Devi & I both love this show, set during WWII in Canada at an ammunitions factory a group of strong women work to help the cause {and of course hijinks ensue}.
  7. The Trip // My dad & I love this movie because Steve Coogan & Rob Brydon are hysterical, make sure to pay attention to their Michael Cain impressions. Bonus: The food looks amazing.
  8. Foyle's War // Great if you love history & solving mysteries. Bonus: Foyle's son is really attractive!
  9. Diana Vreeland: The Eye Has to Travel // Probably my favorite fashion documentary ever {sorry Scatter My Ashes, you come in second}. DV will always be a role model for me.
  10. Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day // Seriously love this movie for the actors, clothing, and sets! I even got Devi to love it.
