The Food Diaries: Pluckers

Pluckers is your quintessential {except not as dirty or dive bar-y} college wing place. It was started by two UT students and is now a major Texas chain, everyone from here knows what Pluckers is. You can get a basket of waffle fries, five wings, and celery for around $6. I would highly suggest you check it out if you are ever in Austin, whether that be for a football game or a business trip, it is a must.
They have tons of televisions and the employees will serenade you whenever their favorite songs come across the restaurant. There is indoor and outdoor seating, and there is always a wait. Pro tip: the smaller your party the more likely you will get seated quickly.
I had the special with gold rush sauce and plain waffle fries. Gold rush is one of my favorite sauces from back home and it is a mixture of sweet and tangy. Pro tip: make sure you have tons of napkins/paper towels because they are super wet! The waffle fries are a nice pallet cleanser in-between wings.
